The Role

We aren’t just looking for someone to make phone calls; we are looking for a future top-tier deal closer, managing outbound and inbound leads. As our new Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the engine of our growth. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, representing an AI tech product that genuinely solves problems. This role will let you build pipelines, negotiate with decision-makers, and drive revenue.If you are hungry, tech-savvy, and tired of selling products you don't believe in, this is your home.

Your Mission

Your #1 Goal: Fuel our sales pipeline by acquiring high-quality leads for our Account Executives through strategic outbound prospecting.

  • Hunt & Conquer: Build targeted outbound prospect lists and execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (Email, LinkedIn, Cold Calls).
  • Be the Face of Vase: Engage with inbound leads, qualify their needs, and suggest the right market research solutions.
  • Relentless Follow-Up: Manage your pipeline with precision. You don’t let opportunities slip through the cracks; you nurture them until they are ready to buy.
  • Partner with AEs: Collaborate closely with Account Executives to close deals, assisting with accurate quotations and ensuring momentum in the sales cycle.
  • AI Experimentation Lab: Work hands-on with cutting-edge AI tools (Comet, Lovable, custom GPTs) to automate the boring stuff - personalized email sequences, lead scoring, LinkedIn message optimization. You’ll be the pioneer figuring out “what’s possible” and building systems that make everyone 3x more effective.

Our Tech Stack

  • CRM: HubSpot (Clean data, clear processes).
  • Outreach: Instantly.ai & LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Intelligence: Fireflies.ai (for call recording/notes) & Vase.ai’s internal tools

The Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales role (Inbound, Outbound, AE, Research services, Consulting services, Marketing services, or SaaS).
  • Outbound Pro: Minimum 1 year of specific experience in outbound prospecting with a proven track record. We want to see where your outreach translated into real revenue.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You know how to write personalized email that gets opened and hold a conversation that builds trust.
  • Tech Stack: Being familiarized with our Tech Stack.
  • Work Permit in Malaysia.

The Process

Even though Artificial Intelligence is something that we really love, when it comes to your application we are a bit old school. With that being said, we manually go over every CV and try to provide tailor made feedback (no ChatGPT). For the Operations Executive it will look like this:

  • CV & Video Triage
  • Technical Assessment (Online)
  • 1st Interview - People & Operations (Online)
  • 2nd Interview - Hiring Manager (Online)
  • Final Interview- Founder Interview (Face to Face in Kuala Lumpur)

Onboarding

As an SDR at Vase.ai, your northstar is generating and qualifying pipeline by starting high-quality conversations with the right prospects. With your 1-2 years of SDR experience, you'll benefit from our onboarding plan and tech stack that equips you with everything you need to excel in your role within 3 months, setting you up for faster success! 

Your first month

  • Week 1 - Foundations 
    • You’ll quickly get up to speed on our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), our services, our value propositions, and use cases, shadow live prospecting and customer calls, and get fully set up in our tools.
  • Week 2 - Guided practice 
    • You’ll start managing inbound leads and running outbound sequences, using and iterating on our messaging, with focused feedback on your emails and call scripts, and continue joining AE calls to align on what a high-quality opportunity looks like.
  • Week 3 - Owning outreach 
    • You’ll own a targeted account list, run multichannel outreaches (email, LinkedIn, calls), and consistently book qualified meetings, supported by regular coaching and peer review on talk tracks and objection handling.
  • Week 4 - Consistency and feedback 
    • You’ll focus on hitting and stabilizing your activity and meeting benchmarks, keep your pipeline and CRM clean, and have a 1:1 review to align on strengths, gaps, and your next 60-day plan.

Expectations in your first 90 days

  • Activity & output
    • High-quality activities per day (emails, calls, LinkedIn touches, etc.).
    • Qualified meetings set per month for the AE, depending on segment.
  • Quality & mastery
    • Adapt your existing outbound and discovery skills to confidently explain who Vase.ai is for, the problems we solve, and our key use cases.
    • Run clear discovery and qualification, and capture accurate notes and next steps in the CRM.
  • Mindset & behaviours
    • Come prepared, on time, and curious to every meeting and coaching session.
    • Proactively share market learnings, ask for feedback, and take ownership of your pipeline and results.

The Offer

  • Monthly salary between RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00
  • Commission Structure (Uncapped)
