The Role 

We're looking for a Junior BD Executive that is interested in growing the business by:
  • Understanding the friction / pain points of leads
  • Identifying areas that we excel in providing help with
  • Tailor fitting solutions to said needs
  • Qualifying leads by determining fit
  • Ensuring proper handling of their buyer-journey from lead to client & handoff to CS

What are we Looking For 

Apart from being an Amazing, Extraordinary, Fantastic human being, we are seeking for someone with:
  • Ability to represent & carry oneself in a polished manner
  • Min experience in B2B SaaS (6 to 12 months) or Min experience in Market Research Sales (6 to 12 months)
  • Digitally-savvy (has used CRM before)
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
  • Eagerness to get things done on independently
  • Ownership of BAU tasks
  • Interest in continuous self-development 
  • Fluency in English
  • Residence permit in Malaysia
A plus would be:
  • Market Research experience
  • Startup experience
  • Previous experience in a multinational team
  • Basic knowledge on working with CRM (preferably HubSpot)
  • Negotiation skills
  • Complaint resolution skills
  • Fluency in Malay or Mandarin

The Process 

Even though Artificial Intelligence is something that we really love, when it comes to your application we are a bit old school. With that being said, we manually go over every CV and try to provide tailor made feedback (no ChatGPT). For the Junior BD Executive position it will look like this:

  • CV Triage
  • People & Culture Interview
  • Hiring Manager Interview
  • Challenge
  • Founder Interview


This will be your roadmap for the first 3 months:

1st Month 
1. Understand who our buyer persona is and their common pain points
2. Take over simpler tasks: 
    a. Field qualifying phone calls (with script) (TA)
    b. Create simple quotes for Diong to approve
    c. Start to be Able to field client questions in a sales call with supervision
    d. Handle follow ups for clients that go MIA (Deal pipeline & payments)
3. Take over procurement stuff to offboard from Diong

2nd Month 
1. Own to the ability to field client FAQs in a sales call w/o supervision from Diong
2. In depth understanding Xero & HubSpot (sales stuff)

3rd Month 
1. Take full ownership of all incoming leads - be it form submissions or calls
2. Full ownership BAU, exceptions aside
